BJP is anti-Dalit, anti-farmer, and anti-citizen. The government, instead of engaging in dialogue with protesting farmers, is oppressing them.

Kumari Selja said that Congress MPs were peacefully protesting in the Parliament premises when BJP MPs pushed them. Yet, the FIR was filed against Rahul Gandhi.

It is akin to the guilty accusing the innocent. The Speaker should take cognizance of this and take action as BJP MPs disobeyed his directives.

Kumari Selja made these remarks while addressing the media in Fatehabad on Sunday. Regarding the FIR against Rahul Gandhi, Kumari Selja said that as the opposition,

it is their duty to raise issues concerning public interest. Peaceful protests have occurred in Parliament before. When the Speaker directed that no protests be held on the stairs, Congress MPs followed the order.

However, when they were protesting near Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s statue, BJP MPs were already present with sticks and posters, which was shameful behavior. Kumari Selja said that the BJP MPs pushed our MPs, causing our president Mallikarjun Kharge to fall, and yet we were blamed.

Kumari Selja said that Who obstructed the opposition MPs in the Parliament premises? Who came with sticks and posters, and who pushed whom? Everyone saw this. BJP no longer believes in the parliamentary system or democracy.

stating they failed to deliver on promises like the Ghaggar River pollution issue or the Gorakhpur nuclear plant. Regarding promises,

she said BJP is only good at making them but never fulfills them. Referring to the delayed construction of a medical college in Sirsa, Kumari Selja said that BJP for its inaction despite multiple inaugurations.

She also said that the long queues of complainants in government departments, reflecting poor governance during the BJP’s tenure. Commenting on Congress’s loss in the assembly elections, she said that while many expected Congress to form the government,

internal challenges, such as improper ticket distribution, contributed to the defeat. Selja said that the Congress is analyzing these issues to avoid future mistakes.

Regarding farmers, she said that the BJP of betrayal, citing the government’s failure to give legal status to MSP (Minimum Support Price) despite promises made two years ago.

Farmers are now sitting on indefinite hunger strikes, and yet the government has no time to discuss their concerns. She also said that the government’s failure to control private seed companies exploiting farmers.

Kumari Selja said that the country’s economy depends on agriculture, and the government must address farmers’ issues.

She said that reliance on industrialists like Adani and Ambani won’t sustain the nation. The poor need justice. She questioned the BJP’s claim of poverty eradication,

citing that 70% of Haryana’s population lives below the poverty line (BPL). BJP’s divisive politics based on religion and caste are creating unrest in the country.

Referring to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks about Dr. Ambedkar, she said they were disrespectful and intolerable.

Congress will now take these issues to every village and street, exposing BJP’s anti-constitutional and anti-people face.
